Please share a memory of Shane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Milo – Shane L. Fowles, 52, passed away February 10, 2024, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. Shane was born August 7, 1971, in Milo, the son of Lawrence “Larry” B. Fowles and Sheila (Willinski) Ellis. Shane was loved by so many around the small community of Milo which he grew up in. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed the times he was able to spend with his family and was always trying to crack jokes to make everyone laugh. Shane took pride in helping his children, Shelby and Caiden, learn to hunt and fish, but especially loved to watch them play sports like he did when he was young. He loved his little brother, Tony, even through the disagreements, fights, and tears that love never faltered. Growing up, Shane lived on Riverside Street where he became friends with all the other kids on the street. After many years of playing together they soon became a Riverside family where laughs, tears, and love were made. After the loss of his mother, Shane struggled to cope with her absence, and may he now find peace in her arms through the gates of heaven. Shane is survived by his loving children, Shelby Hunt and her husband, Forrest, and Caiden Fowles; father, Lawrence “Larry’ Fowles; step-father, Torrance Ellis; brother, Tony Fowles and his children, Sydney and Logan; step-brother, Travis Ellis and his wife, Erica, and their children, Lucas, Benjamin, and Colson; and several extended family members. He was predeceased by his mother, Sheila Ellis. A memorial service will be held 5PM Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Rev. Stephen Dean officiating. Committal will be in the spring in the Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
