Dover-Foxcroft- Wilbur Louis Priest, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Davis Street in Dover-Foxcroft on February 27, 2024. Wilbur served his country and lived his life on his terms and was a faithful friend to many. He was well known for his legendary ways. The last 24 years of his life were spent with his love, Martha Engstrom, their beloved pets, their daughter Elizabeth Armstrong and her husband, Scott Armstrong and grandchildren, Angela Bryden and Garrett Armstrong; family that stood by him no matter what. After Wilbur’s son passed away in 2018, he chose the sober life, which worked out well for him. Wilbur was loved by so many friends and family, who will cherish their personal memories with him and think of him with fondness. The last few years of Wilbur’s life, his time was spent at home with Martha, their pets, Scott and Elizabeth Armstrong, Angela Bryden, Garrett Armstrong, and his brother, Robert Webb, who all helped to keep him going. He wished to be buried in Lewiston with his mother and some of his son’s ashes. Donations in Wilbur’s name can be sent to Wilbur’s grandson, Garrett Armstrong, 5690 Bennoch Road, Lagrange, ME 04453, for his ongoing cancer treatments.
